When I was born I was told the process of birth caused every bone in my body to break.
It was only a week later that I was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, and I was referred to you the best orthopedic doctor in the United States.
My mother was told I had the worse case of (OI).
Those words alone brought uncontrollable tears to her eyes
But by prayer and your great credentials that was far from the case.
My life hasn't been easy but I'm in a good place.
Sometimes great doctors like yourself are overlooked, you have my utmost appreciation.
Throughout the years you've showed me nothing but complete dedication.
You are a certified specialist that help and teach people all over the world.
For thirty two years you've been my doctor and I am one blessed girl.
I have so many different doctors and they all say if they didn't read my chart they'd never know I had a sever bone condition.
I always say I have a great bone physician.
I remember as a child I came to an office visit and you asked me how many breaks have I had, you informed me that I had broken eight plus bones.
I was in disbelief and my mind was blown.
I know that number has increased over the years.
But I want to thank you for being by my side throughout the breaks, pain, and tears.
After my mom died I wasn't able to come to you because of insurance purposes. You informed me whatever I need if it was a doctors referral or help never hesitate to ask.
I thank God for you because you fulfilled every task.
There's no good perks of having (OI) but I always tell people I remember being in the hospital or at your office with interns and you'd ask them look at hers eyes, and tell me what's wrong.
Still till this very day people get excited to meet me because of my blue sclera
The best part of (OI) that I find beautiful with no Error.
I was told that you informed my surgeon that my case was special, and to take care of me and your words were precise and clear.
From the bottom of my heart thank you Dr. Canale for your kindness humanity commitment for the past thirty two years.
You will always be the best orthopedic doctor, no maybes, buts, or ifs
Always your #1 patient "The Great Tiff"
